Finished projects

                                             I think I am finally starting to get my Etsy mojo back. It has taken some time, but I think I am finding some inspiration here and there. Here are a couple of projects I finished and will hopefully get them listed in my Etsy shop soon. Oh yeah, I have to return from my "vacation" on Etsy first. I guess these could be considered make overs too.  I re purposed some thrift store finds into some cute little cupcake signs. Well, I think they are cute. Check out the befores:

 

 

                                         As beautiful as they were before, I do believe they look a tad better after. Some sanding, a coat or two of paint, and a faux cupcake added on is just what they needed. It's a good start. I need to really get some motivation and get some more things completed so I can "re-open" my shop.

Etsy Shop

                        I am in the middle of a creative slump. I am finding it hard to get my cupcake on. That sounds funny.  Need to find my crafting mojo so to speak. My Etsy shop has been on vacation for some time now. I haven't created anything new for the shop for so long, I almost forget how. Well, not really. This cupcake car mirror ornament was one of the last things I made for the shop. I am hoping to find the mojo soon. Have you seen it? Maybe with spring here ( even though it snowed and was pretty chilly today) I will get in the crafting mood soon. I need to get some new things made! What do you do to inspire yourself? Gotta get my bum in gear. Smile it is spring!

               I know right, can you believe it?  I even have a few more. I haven't actually listed these items yet, they are not quite "finished baking". It was a productive week for me here. I took the time to make some stuff, you know what? It was fun again! Hasn't been fun for me lately. I don't know why. Maybe lack of creative juices, I don't know. But I had fun this time. Hopefully those juices will start flowing again. I think I will have these listed in my Etsy shop in the a few days. Now, if I could just find the motivation for everything else. I'm sure it's around here somewhere. Anybody have any extra?  Hope you have a sweet day!

Sorry I haven't posted more......... blah blah blah

I seem to say that a lot, don't I ? Well, I sure don't have to worry about this blog taking over my life now do I ? Just kidding. Kinda. There are always things going on in life, that's the beauty of it. Some days you seem to be busy ALL day, but at the end of the day, you know, when you are laying there in bed trying to go to sleep and can't, you go back over your day and it seeems like nothing got done. I have a LOT of those days. Oh well.  Anyway, I just wanted let you know that things are good. Hubby is feeling better. Oh yea, he was in the hospital for a few days about 2 weeks ago. He is feeling better though, so that is good. My son was just getting comfortable in middle school, and I get a call from his 6th grade high math teacher telling me scored high on a test that said he knew everything he would learn through the end of the year. They decided to put him in 7th grade pre-algebra. Which is wonderful! Unless your schedule has to be rearranged and you really like your classes the way they are. He is doing well with changes. I am trying to get my self motivated to get some new Christmas things made to list in my Etsy store, but can't find the motivation need yet. I am working on it though. Hopefully I will be posting some finished things soon. If I can get moving. So we are doing well. Hope you are doing well also. Have a sweet day! Again soon.

At last.. some new things for Etsy! and stuff

I am happy to report that I have gotten my behind in gear and finally listed some new things on Etsy. ( insert  trumpets and confetti here!) I am currently working on more things to list. I have to say I have been somewhat of a slacker these days. No, I have been a complete slacker! Well, I don't have any more excuses now that the Boy is back in school. I really need to get it in gear and get everything going again! Unfortunately, summer is coming to an end but, That means maybe I can get back on track, in more ways than one, I might add. Have you ever noticed how summer break can side track things?  Happy little vacations from everyday stuff, and it's perfectly okay to have that happen. Funny how much time to myself I have once school starts. I still miss that booger though. I am not one of those moms who counts down the days til school starts, let me tell ya! I absolutely love being home with the Boy. I am always sad when school starts. And this year was no exception! I can't believe my baby started middle school this year. Wow, time flies, doesn't it? I am so excited for him though. So many new opportunities and things to experience. Still a little sad for me though. So, now I can use all this to inspire me to get more things done for Etsy and start listing on eBay again. if you have a few minutes and would like to , click on the etsy box and visit my little shop. It's summer... please cut me some slack

I know I know. I have been slacking lately. But, it's summer. That has to count for something, right?  Well it does in my mind. Thanks for understanding. We have been keeping busy and being lazy, too.  Just everyday stuff. You know summer stuff. Swimming, hiking, hanging with friends, enjoying the sun and hanging with family. We've had some lazy days in there as well. You know you need them. I haven't really worked on much Etsy stuff ( loose translation: none). I have listed a few things here and there on Ebay though. Not gonna rich from that I can tell ya! Overall I have to say we have been having FUN! And that is what is important!! I have a project in mind, but to be truthful, I could post it tomorrow or next week or not at all. I will try to post more often though ( Note : I said try ;P ). Some more new cupcakes

I am proud of myself. I have been getting some new things listed. I think these turned out pretty cute, too. I love making these and when I do, I can't believe I don't make them more often. I have fun coming up with new ones. I don't realize how much I miss this part until I get started.

I even managed to get a walk in today. The weather has been a little warmer these past few days. I do hear a mighty strong wind blowing outside right now though. At this time of year that usually means colder temps. are moving in. I hope to get a few more walks in this week.

Some new cupcakes

So, I still haven't figured out this picture thing.....but I'm just going to go with it. These are some of my new creations available in my Etsy store. My Etsy store is called, you guessed it Cute Cupcake Cottage. The etsy store came first then my blog. If you would like to take a look at my Etsy store sometime feel free. I love cupcakes. I really love making faux ones. My family would like me to make real ones more often. The last ones I made were from the cinnamon roll cake recipe. Have you tried that yet? O.M.G. is it YUMMY! The cupcakes were pretty good, too. I have been trying not to make so many sweets lately, that is my downfall. Well, that and microwave popcorn. Weird huh? Well anyway, I had fun making these. I think they turned out pretty cute. I hope to get some others on there pretty soon.
