A small Re-do

I rescued this stool from a neighbor's curb. It was in need of some TLC. I was in such a hurry to get started, I forgot my before photo. I remembered right after primer. Let me explain what you can't see. A very sturdy stool that was covered with cob webs and dried grass clippings. It was painted blue and had a hand painted sun face on the seat. Not a bad sun face just,  how can I say this..... not my cup of tea so to speak.

If you look closely you can see the outline of the sun on the seat and some of the blue paint left on the bottom. I should have sanded the seat to remove the sun painting but, to be honest it doesn't really bother me that you can kind of see the sun outline. I spray painted the seat white and the bottom pink, ballerina pink to be exact. See...

You can hardly see the sun anymore. I left a little of the blue show in places, it looks like wood grain showing through. This stool is heavy and very sturdy. I had to rescue her and make her pretty again. I like it. She will make a nice addition to my new craft space. I will show you when I show the final reveal. How about you, have you rescued any furniture? I just couldn't let this beauty go into a landfill. Could you? Have a sweet day!

  1. Thank you! Pink is my favorite color. I haven't used it in my house yet. Maybe now in my craft room.
