Measure my love

I found these super cute new in the box measuring spoons at the thrift store the other day. They are heart shaped and upon closer inspection, the handles look like this:

They have cute little sayings on them. I didn't really need anymore measuring spoons, but they were so cute. I couldn't pass on the price either 90 cents.  I used the black marker trick to make the letters pop a bit more. You know that one. Color over the stamped letters with a black Sharpie marker let sit for about a minute then carefully use a damp cloth to remove the excess marker. I had an old wooden sign that I repainted and hung the spoons on. I'm not sure about the color yet, but it is growing on me. What do you think? I wanted brown or tan or something. Here's how it looks after I hung it with some cute ribbon.

For a little bit I was really into making stamped jewelry. I was pretty excited when I saw the spoons! It hangs in my kitchen, of course. I really like it, not completely sold on the color yet. I think the whole thing cost me about $2.00 to make reusing things I had here. Have you finished any projects lately? I love when a plan comes together, like the picture in my head. Doesn't always happen like that the first time. I had fun making it too! Have a wonderful week. It's spring break here. I hope to have some good family time this week.
