Wise words

                                            I have posted about my love for lists before. I am borrowing some more lists from this book. These aren't your typical to do lists though.

Wise Sayings

  1. Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today.
  2. Never trouble another for what you can do yourself.
  3. Never spend your money before you have it.
  4. Never buy what you do not want because it is cheap.
  5. Pride costs us more than hunger, thirst, and cold.
  6. We never repent of having eaten too little.
  7. Nothing is troublesome that we do willingly.
  8. How much pain the evils, which have never happened, have cost us.
  9. Take things always by their smooth handle.
  10. When angry, count to ten before you speak: if very angry, a hundred.
                                      -Thomas Jefferson

Take Time

Take time to think;
               it is the source of your power.

Take time to play;
               it is the secret of your youth.

Take time to read;
               it is the foundation of your knowledge.

Take time to dream;
               it will take you to the stars.

Take time to laugh;
                it truly is your best medicine.

Take time to pray;
               it is your touch with almighty God.

Take time to reach out to others;
              it will give your life significance.

The longer you carry a problem, the heavier it gets.

Say I'm sorry when you've hurt someone.

A little love goes a long way.

Friendship is always a good investment.

Don't take things too seriously.

                                   These lists spoke to me and I thought I would share them. Thank you for coming today. I hope these words inspire you like they have me. Have a sweet day!

Lists

                        Are you a list maker?  I used to be. I had to. It was the only way I could remember to do everything that needed to be done.  Somewhere along the way I stopped doing it. I don't remember why... I didn't make a list!  Now I am trying to get back into the habit of making lists again, but I'm afraid I might take the list thing too far. You know, crazy lists and lists of my lists?  Don't laugh, it happened before. So imagine how excited I was when I found this book at the library the other day. It has good lists in it. Not the regular list like, don't forget milk, pick up the Boy after school, or remember to turn off the light when you leave the room ( is this an issue for you as well?). Really good life lists. Like this one.

From  Power Thoughts

This list is on page 48 of an aprox. 150 page book. I love books like this. Right there, so simple yet thought provoking too.  Another one I like.

Four Ways to Grow Old Gracefully:
  1. Fear less, Hope more.
  2. Eat less, chew more.
  3. Talk less, say more.
  4. Hate less, Love more.
From a "Dear Abby" newspaper column.

Have a really special day! Do something nice for someone. Do something you have been putting off. Do something that challenges you. Maybe something that is outside of your comfort zone. Do it with joy.
