It's pretty plain, huh? It needed something. I have wanted a chalkboard for the kitchen for quite some time. After I repainted the door ( to cover some boo boos from installing a cat door) I taped off the size and shape I wanted the chalk board to be. I got my chalkboard paint at the Home Depot for less than $10.00. We still have QUITE a bit left. The Boy wants a small chalkboard in his room now. I used white paint I already had from another door redo. So this project was about $13.00 all together including a new small roller( that made painting smooth a cinch) and the wall sticker I got for $1.00 at the Dollar Store. What do you think?

I also added a new teapot shaped wire basket. The basket had a slight make over too.

I removed the vine stuff and painted it with Oil Rubbed Bronze spray paint. I see my after photos aren't very close, are they?! Sorry about that. Here's a picture of Daffie's cat door. One of the best cat related things we've done ( I have to thank my Hubby for that one, his idea Thanks Honey)
This project took a little more time with drying time. I ended up putting 3 coats of chalkboard paint on. What do you think? I think it will come in handy for those last minute messages you need to leave before you run out the door. Well, I'm off for now. I will be back next week with beach photos. Have a sweet weekend. Eat a cupcake or 2.
Nice........I like it, are you going to add a place for chalk?
